Mabel Shively, Millmont PA, killed in crash

A fatal accident involving a tractor-trailer claimed the life of Mabel S. Shively, a 77-year-old woman from Millmont, on Friday morning. She was struck by the vehicle on Market Street in downtown Lewisburg and died from her injuries, according to Union County Coroner Dominic Adamo. The collision, which occurred at around 11 a.m., closed off a section of Market Street, also known as State Route 45, for about four hours. The area between Third and Fourth streets was sealed off by police tape, and a white sheet hid the spot where a truck from Staiman Recycling Corporation was located. Emergency units from William Cameron Engine Company fire and ambulance and Buffalo Valley Regional Police Department arrived at the scene. Lewisburg Mayor Kendy Alvarez offered her condolences to the family of the victim and the community. If you need legal assistance, our Pennsylvania car accident lawyers are ready to help.
