Unlawful Pennsylvania State Police Chase Kills Two People

PETERS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A fatal crash in Franklin County claimed the lives of two people who had fled from Pennsylvania State Police early this morning, PSP reported. Troopers had responded to a report of two males breaking into and possibly stealing vehicles on the 9000 block of Lindale Avenue in Antrim Township. The suspects escaped in a green Jeep SUV and were spotted by troopers on Oellig Road. The troopers tried to stop the vehicle, but the suspects refused to pull over and led them on a high-speed chase. The Jeep veered off the road, crossed several farm fields, and plunged over a steep embankment into a body of water. The two males were found dead inside the vehicle. Emergency services, fire department, and water rescue teams were called to the scene due to the hazardous conditions.
