Nutley NJ hit and run accident suspect arrested.
A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday night in Nutley near a Garden State Parkway overpass, resulting in the death of one pedestrian and injury to another in a hit-and-run accident, officials revealed.
The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on the 100 block of Milton Avenue, as confirmed by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday. Tragically, Wiston Perlaza, 22, from Paterson, succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital shortly after the collision. Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the other individual are not deemed life-threatening.
In response to this heartbreaking event, law enforcement swiftly acted, leading to the arrest of 45-year-old Dhkir Robinson in connection with the hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of Wiston Perlaza. Reports indicate that Wiston was struck while on a Valentine’s Day stroll with his date, resulting in his untimely demise at the scene. His date was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
