Fatal accident victim Joshua Amo, 47, of Ogdensburg

The cause of a fatal collision in St. Lawrence County is under investigation by the New York State Police.

A semi driver from Brooklyn was heading east on Route 11 in Gouverneur around 8:00 a.m. Friday. He veered into the opposite lane between Route 9 and Kennedy Road, hitting a pickup truck and then a sport utility vehicle.

The SUV’s occupants, Joshua Amo, 47, of Ogdensburg and Gonzalo Ramirez-Zuniga, 67, of Potsdam, died in the crash. Another person in the SUV had minor injuries.
